The boy was brought to social services by his biological father, and from there he was immediately placed in our HOME.
His mother died after a long illness. The dad, although he would love to, is unable to look after his son. Taking care of such a young child requires commitment and a huge financial base, and since he is unemployed and cannot count on help from his closest family, he had to make the decision to give up his son. And although it was not an easy decision for him, he knows that it was the best one he could have made at the time.
Divine is ill. Our aim now is to get rid of the TB as soon as possible and bring the little one out of malnutrition. These will certainly be long weeks as the boy is very weak. Fortunately, he came to us early enough and we have the chance to help him. In this fight, he badly needs your open hearts, ready to be by his side every step of the way from now on. We firmly believe that from now on, here in Kasisi, together we have started to write Divine's new story.
Santa Claus never had it easy in Kasisi 😉 Over 230 children live here. Sister Mariola has already rushed to his aid and is quietly preparing presents!
Many of us still leave a free seat at the Christmas Eve table. Let one of our children sit at it this year (at a distance, but very much for real) and invite them to the table today!
