Tacillah was brought to Kasisi by a parliament member from a town 700 km away. The girl was being cared for by an elder couple of their village. Tacillah’s mother had died and her father was critically ill. The politician knew of Kasisi and thought this was the best place for such a little girl to get the care she needs and deserves.
We hope that Christopher’s death, which was an unexpected tragic event for the whole Kasisi, will kick off a chain reaction of good. Because of this, we started the Christopher Sakala Fund. With this fund, we support children being treated on the oncological ward at the hospital in Lusaka.
