Gilbert has turned four, but it has only been three weeks since he has had to work. Nobody drags him by the hand into the street among the noisy cars anymore. No one expects him to bring in an income.

This little one came to Kasisi with a group of other children, on whom the adults decided to do business. Knowing that tiny children evoke pity, they exploited them, depriving them not only of their childhood, but above all of their dignity.
Now, at the Home, they are safe and they are learning anew what it means to be cared for and that they deserve love and stability. They always have the loving arms of their sisters, a cot of their own, dreams and space for the usual childish mischief for which they were once punished.
Gilbert smiles a little more cheerfully each day, and we know that with each passing day the bad memories are fading, giving way to the good ones woven from your commitment.
