Kasisi
Deep in the subsaharan savanna, 30 km from Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, lies the country‘s largest orphanage run by nuns from the Congregation of Servants of the Immaculately Conceived Virgin Mary of the Polish Old Village. Its needs are enormous – it provides food, medicine, clothing and education for over 200 children. Many of them require medical care, others need emotional support and warmth. At Kasisi, we meet all of their needs.
Kasisi Foundation is based on the principle of crowdfounding – spiritual, emotional and financial. We don’t ask for a lot – instead, we believe that we can achieve great things through the collective power of microdonations. We share what we can with the children of Kasisi and they, in turn, share their joy and gratitude with us.

Kasisi consists of a group of people united by one goal: providing a safe and happy future for our residents. Get to know us better to learn more about our goals, and see for yourself what a wonderful and hopeful place Kasisi is. With your help, we can put many more smiles on children’s faces!
Sisters
Our heroic Sisters are fully dedicated to caring for our children. Their unparalleled amounts of love and dedication have earned them a reputation for the most functional orphanage in this part of Africa.
Aunties
We have about 40 aunties who act as caregivers, councellors and cooks. They help our children with their everyday hygiene, maintain a tidy environemnt and teach them their ABC‘s and 123‘s.

Kasisi is one big community consisting of resident children, sisters, aunties, but also donors on the other side of the computer screen who make it possible for us to continue our operations.
