The sun appeared from behind the clouds and the little ones came running out of the building, eager to play with their favourite toy motorbikes. The girls lead the way – Eliza and Nacia are young motoring enthusiasts! It’s a well-known fact that red and orange vehicles are the fastest and that’s what our girls have chosen. James and Moses get a little jealous.
Meanwhile, the older children at Edmund’s House spend their time playing in the garden, swinging to their hearts’ content. The Aunties have to keep their eyes peeled, especially in the company of Peter, Samson and Lilien, who are in the mood to play pranks today.
The older children are getting ready for school and binding their notebooks with new covers. Catherine can’t wait to go back to school! The children who are about to start school are diligently practising the writing skills they learned in Kasisi. Thanks to your support last year, their school bags will soon be filled with all the essential equipment. Thank you!
Some of the girls have sadly had to stay at Edmund’s House – illnesses have not spared them and despite the fine weather they have to remain in the building. They are feeling very well, but sitting in one place is quite a challenge for such energetic children.
All they need is a handful of tasty vitamins to boost immunity and lots of loving thoughts. They will surely all be fine!

The sisters and aunties do their best to ensure a healthy diet for the children – just look at their smiling faces at breakfast. Their appetites are always good. During this time of increased susceptibility to illness, it really doesn’t take much to make sure that the children will be able to cope with any viruses. However, we are particularly worried about the children who suffer from immunodeficiency: for them, illness is no longer a trivial matter of just spending a few boring days at home, but a real risk that they will have to be looked after in hospital.
