Daniel and his twin brother ended up at Kasisi under dramatic circumstances. Their mother abandoned them at the door of their father’s apartment. She left them without support or care with a man with whom she had separated. The young father, only 24 years old, struggled with unemployment and lacked the financial means to properly care for his children. He decided to place his sons in Kasisi, seeking a better future and a chance for a better life–something that he could not provide. This difficult decision, burdened with pain and despair, is a testament to his selfless love and concern for the well-being of his children.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
