From the very beginning, Edward’s mother tried to stay by his side and give him what matters most—love, care, and a sense of security. Even though she was struggling with illness herself, she fought bravely during the first months to raise Edward on her own. She had no support from the child’s father—he is unknown—and her closest relatives, for various reasons, were unable to help. She became more and more exhausted—both physically and emotionally—until she finally admitted that she could no longer cope.
It was an incredibly difficult decision, but one made out of love: wanting to give her son a chance for a decent life, she chose to entrust him to our care. And that’s how Edward came to Kasisi.
His mother is still fighting for her health. We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know that Edward is now surrounded by love and care. And he’ll stay with us for as long as he needs to.
