The boy is in Kasisi with his siblings, Faith and Caleb. A few years ago, their father passed away. Their mother, having nowhere to go, took them and, following local customs, went to seek shelter with their father’s family. Unfortunately, she was met with refusal and lack of support, despite asking for help in several places. Due to these difficulties, the children had to stop their education, which was a huge blow to them. In despair, their mother returned to Lusaka. Realizing she was in a terrible situation, she turned to social services for help. Seeing her desperation and need for support, they referred the siblings to us at Kasisi. Here, Misheck and his siblings found a safe haven and a chance for a new life. They are provided with care, support, and the opportunity to continue their education. Their mother can now breathe a sigh of relief, knowing her children are in good hands.
