A few days ago we wrote to you that Christabel had returned to the Home. Although very weakened, she was back with us. We hoped that she would slowly return to strength.
Today another crisis came and we had to take the little one to hospital again. The girl is only 5 months old and has already been through so much. Shortly after her birth, her mother abandoned her. A few days later she came to us.
We only asked for one thing: that she be happy and enjoy a peaceful childhood. This peace of mind was shattered by a cruel adversary – lymphoma. The chemotherapy, which was supposed to be a lifesaver, is wearing Christabel down.
However, we will not give up. We will fight for her as we once did for Anastasia. We need your support, both material and spiritual. Be with us, because only armed this way we have a chance to win!
NEWS FROM 27/06: Christabel’s tests showed only 7 g/dl haemoglobin, which means severe anaemia. She is also suffering from pneumonia.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
