These last few days have brought no shortage of joyful occasions at Kasisi. In addition to our birthday celebrations, last weekend we attended the wedding of a very special couple at our on-site church and we couldn’t be happier!
Nenani and Gladys chose Kasisi, the place that brought them together, to begin their new life journey. Nenani is a former resident of Kasisi. As a young man, he moved to the US where he went to college and then started a career. While visiting Zambia a while ago, he returned to his former home at Kasisi, where he met Gladys, who had been working there as an auntie. This fateful meeting culminated in a wedding – on Saturday, the couple said “I do.”

We invite anyone who would like to join the celebrations to visit our Pantry, where we have a delicious birthday cake (for the residents of Kasisi – not us!) as well as a special birthday promotion. For each Purchase for Kasisi made through Monday (April 11-12) your Heart for a Heart points will be doubled. Not only will you bring joy to the children of Kasisi, you will also increase your chances of receiving a unique gift from Africa.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
