One notebook – seemingly nothing, but in Grace’s eyes, it’s a real ticket into a world that is as fascinating as it is scary for a six-year-old child.
But Grace knows that school will teach her everything – reading, writing, dealing with numeracy. Other skills, such as sharing her heart with those in need, caring or perseverance, she has been developing at Kasisi ever since she arrived here.
Grace’s mum is dead and her dad has only visited once – but that doesn’t discourage the girl from life in the world that she just seems to be soaking up with her big eyes. Grace knows that with such wonderful adoptive parents, she will always be okay.
Join our fundraiser and donate the equivalent of a notebook, pencil case or backpack to Grace and other little kids in Kasisi. It is a real ticket to the future.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
