This was the ‘Le Petit Nicolas’ entourage that we met at the crack of dawn today, strolling through Kasisi. At its head was the ‘Le Petit Nicolas’ of Kasisi – James. His right hand man is Banji.
The squad is in full gear! Hats, jackets and jumpers are all in use. After all, it is the middle of the African winter: thermometers are showing just a few degrees, and a cold wind is blowing. Our rascals have already made a plan for the whole day. Of course, they have not said a word. Everyone is bound by team secrecy. However, we already know the ins and outs of these elaborate plans, and we know how much energy is required to carry them out.
So while we’re at it, why not give our team a little extra heat by putting some warming calories on the shelves? Chocolate? Chicken? Oh, how much strength they’ll provide for fun and smiles. With you, even the African winter doesn’t scare us!
PS: How good it is to be at HOME!
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
