Today is International Education Day.
Bibiana, Chola, Faith, Grace, Joseph and many others… they are just starting their learning adventure. For now, through play. They all go to kindergarten.
Anastasia, Anna Maria, Blessing, Dominic… the list this year is very long, these kids went to pre-school in January.
There are several hundred students in Kasisi. There are also students In Poland: James and Eve. They are already at the end of their education. In Kasisi we assist our charges at every stage of their education.
We also have kids in a special school, where the level of learning is adapted to their abilities. There is also a Montessori school which is attended by kids with albinism, because they are safe there.
The kids who came to Kasisi, whom you gave a helping hand, were very lucky. The percentage of kids who do not have this opportunity in Zambia is still high. You are the ones who take care of the food and clothes in Kasisi on a daily basis, but you are also the ones who EDUCATE them. It is thanks to you that they have the chance to learn. You are the ones who buy them a ticket to a better future.
14-year-old Caleb, who came to HOME less than three months ago, should have been in at least the eighth grade by now, but is in the fifth. Unfortunately, the situation at his home has forced the boy to drop out of school. After the death of his dad, his mother had no money for her children’s schooling. Today, thanks to you, the boy can continue his education.

The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
