Yesterday (March 7) marked one year since Grace has been in Kasisi. Today, on Women’s Day – be it big or small – we want to show you what WONDERS are being accomplished here!
When Grace came to us we knew that caring for her would not be easy. The girl suffers from cerebral palsy, is blind and does not speak. She requires constant care, daily rehabilitation and specialized sensory activities.
You know very well that if anyone is to accomplish the impossible, it will be the sisters.
From her first days at Kasisi, Grace gets what she needs. Sisters and physical therapists work with her every day. We try to do everything to make her as independent as possible. Because we never give up! If the health or life of our kids is at stake, we FIGHT until we are out of breath!
And so this morning came the news from Sister Mariola that: “Grace stood on her feet for the first time. With the help of a special walker that Inger – our physiotherapist – brought her from Norway. The girl took her first steps! Despite the fact that she is blind, this moment made her extremely happy. We do not lose hope that one day Grace will walk on her own.”
Because, after all, NO THINGS ARE IMPOSSIBLE!

The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
