In October we reported that a prominent artist, head of the Fine Arts Department at the largest university in Zambia, is teaching students of Kasisi how to paint. Since then, their art skills have improved tremendously – so much so that we’re now preparing to exhibit their artwork for the first time at the National Museum in Lusaka. Their beautiful paintings of wild animals show just how much talent they have. The exhibition in the most important museum in the country is proof that nothing is impossible. The sky’s the limit! Fingers crossed for future successes!
We are awaiting more pictures of their artwork. In the meantime, we encourage you to buy art supplies for the young artists so that they can continue pursuing their passions. You can find them in Kasisi Academy.
Help these future Picassos believe in themselves and dream big!
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
