The kitchen is the heart of every home. In Kasisi, it operates at full steam from dawn to dusk, serving about 1000 tasty, well-balanced meals every day.
Right after breakfast, the aunties begin preparing lunch. Chopping repu, cooking nshima, and seasoning about 50 chickens, because that’s exactly how many we need for one meal. After lunch, there’s a moment of rest, and then they plan dinner.
As you walk past the kitchen, you can smell the scent of a real home. The kids often peek in to find out what delicious things will land on their plates today ❤️
