We have saved another small child!
Michael, whom we already call Michałek, came to Kasisi yesterday. We do not know when he was born, where exactly he is from and what his name was. He has been Michael since he stepped through the doors of Kasisi. Here every child receives not only an identity, but also as much love as it takes to erase traumatic memories.
Little Michael may be 6-8 months old. He was abandoned in the bush. We do not know why his guardians did such a thing. What we do know is that we need to take action so that the trauma of rejection doesn’t follow this little boy throughout his life. We need to cure Michael of his malnutrition. The fact that he was starving can be seen with the naked eye. He is lethargic and like children with hunger disease, his hair is turning yellow and his body is becoming swollen.
We ask for your support! Visit our Kasisi shop and give the little one some therapeutic milk. And if you can, stay with him for longer. He really needs friends who will take care of him from his very first moments in Kasisi.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
