Do you ever wonder how we are able to restore so much vitality and happiness at Kasisi? It is all thanks to our Pantry. We need to make sure it stays fully stocked to keep the residents of Kasisi full of life.
At the start of the year, Zambia faced the imminent threat of a hunger crisis. Its malnutrition rates remain among the highest in the world and a large share of the population go hungry every day. In the past few years, Kasisi has become a ray of light in an otherwise very dark landscape.
Thanks to your support of the Fill our Pantry program, Kasisi’s residents receive a nutritious, well-balanced and varied diet. Your donations also enable us to provide several meals a day, not just one.
Your support has an immediate and measurable impact. Our residents are healthier, happier, and do better in school thanks to their increased energy levels. We spend less on medical care. Occasionally, we witness miracles like when we saved Anastazja, who arrived at Kasisi severely malnourished and on the brink of death. If not for Kasisi and the food you help us supply, including, in this case, therapeutic milk, she would not have survived.
We know you understand how important it is to keep our pantry well-stocked. We are immensely grateful for your support and hope that you will continue with us on our journey. Our work is not just a one-off charitable action, it’s a life-long commitment. The cost of feeding 240 hungry mouths is enormous and can reach up to 19,000 USD (70,000 PLN) a month. With your support, we are able to reach new heights. With you by our side, the SKY IS THE LIMIT!
Today is World Food Day, a great opportunity to share our mission with your loved ones and encourage them to get involved. Tell your friends and family about Kasisi, a place on earth that saves lives, nurtures children back to health, and provides the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young ones hope for a future. You don’t have to give much. Collectively, the small amounts make a huge difference in the lives of our children. Help us add more products to our pantry today.
Santa Claus never had it easy in Kasisi 😉 Over 230 children live here. Sister Mariola has already rushed to his aid and is quietly preparing presents!
Many of us still leave a free seat at the Christmas Eve table. Let one of our children sit at it this year (at a distance, but very much for real) and invite them to the table today!
