Caring for the Patients: What Does the Evening Medical Briefing Look Like in Kasisi?

Date added: 23.02.2024

Every evening, after all the children have gone to their rooms, a medical briefing takes place. That is when all the nurses caring for the sick children, as well as Sister Mariola and Sister Janina, discuss the health status of our little patients. They share information on the treatment implemented for a specific child, their parameters, and so on. They also make decisions on whether someone needs to be hospitalized in our HOUSE OF HOPE, or, if the treatment does not show results, they plan consultations and potential changes in the treatment plan. Here, nothing is left to chance; every action is thoroughly discussed and considered.

Anyone who visits Kasisi even once and sees how everything works here understands why it has been gaining increasing recognition for years and is considered by the Zambian authorities to be a model facility. The first thing you feel upon entering the building is that this is not an institution, but a real HOME, where you can see what love really looks like.

You can still help rebuild the budget of our Emergency Services! A healthy child is a happy child ❤️

Cots for Kasisi

The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.

Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
