We’re thrilled to announce that we’re going to Africa – for the first time in one and a half years! Our brave board members Ania and Mateusz have been vaccinated, medically screened and equipped for better or worse, have just left Warsaw and are heading south. We wish them luck and are crossing our fingers that they don’t get stuck in quarantine on the way over.
Before the pandemic, we would send a representative from Warsaw to Zambia every few months. During these trips, we brought things that couldn’t be purchased there as well as letters from you. We also used this time to update our children’s profiles and to take a closer look at what they need most. The pandemic, which has turned the entire world upside down, has forced us to work with our sisters remotely.
We’re excited to make a safe trip back. Expect to read some detailed reports over the next few days. We’ll let you know what’s going on over in Africa, where winter has just begun. Stay with us and keep your fingers crossed for a successful journey!
We hope that Christopher’s death, which was an unexpected tragic event for the whole Kasisi, will kick off a chain reaction of good. Because of this, we started the Christopher Sakala Fund. With this fund, we support children being treated on the oncological ward at the hospital in Lusaka.
