The girl came to Kasisi along with her twin brother, Daniel. Both were born prematurely, each weighing only one and a half kilograms at birth. These were particularly challenging times as the children required special medical care. Their mother suffers from a severe illness, preventing her from properly caring for the newborns. Despite her best intentions and efforts, she was unable to provide the necessary support, leading to a critical state of health for the children. They were extremely neglected and malnourished. Their aunt, seeing the dire situation, took the dramatic step of bringing the siblings to social services. As a result, the children were brought to Kasisi, where they immediately received the necessary care.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
