The girl’s mother brought her to us after a stay with the Sisters of Mother Teresa. For certain reasons, they had to leave the facility. Although she’d love to, the woman is unable to take care of her child by herself. She suffers from diabetes, is blind in one eye, and has limited vision in the other. It was a difficult decision for her to give up her daughter. However, once she learned about Kasisi, she brought Dorothy to us herself, saying she wanted her child to be raised in such a HOME.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
