Edmund arrived in Kasisi on February 17, 2018. On that day, there was a huge a storm in the area. Edmund’s mother tried to seek refuge from the storm in a hut but to no avail. She was struck by lightning and died on the spot. It is a mystery how Edmund survived the accident but upon finding the boy, residents of a neighboring village immediately brought him to Kasisi in an attempt to save his life. We didn’t know his name so one of the sisters decided to name him Edmund after Bl. Edmund Bojanowski, founder of the Servants’ Congregation and their homes, schools and orphanages.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
