Joshua came to Kasisi when he was just one day old. His mother is ill. She was admitted to hospital when she was still pregnant. There she gave birth and stayed for another six months, having to undergo surgery. She and Sister Mariola met when Christopher Sakala was admitted to the oncology ward. After his death, we decided to start a fund in his name. She was among the many oncology patients we started supporting through the fund. The woman is in a very difficult situation, she is homeless and very ill. We will continue to help her and make sure that she doesn’t need to worry about her son.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
