Irresponsible adults, instead of providing him with care and safety, decided to exploit him for their own purposes. Mapalo was drawn into street begging, becoming a tool for making money. Thanks to the intervention of passersby and the quick response of social services, he found himself at Kasisi, where he experienced what a true, happy childhood is.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
