Maria arrived at Kasisi just three days after her birth. She was a premature baby, which made her start in life even more challenging. She has a grandmother who visits her regularly. Her grandmother loves her deeply and wishes to take her home. Unfortunately, her life situation doesn’t allow for this dream to come true. She is taking care of her sick daughter, Maria’s mother, who requires constant support and treatment. Despite these difficulties, every visit with her granddaughter is a moment filled with emotions and hope that one day their situation will improve, and they can be together permanently.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
