Mary came to Kasisi with her brother. The girl is an albino. Physical attacks on people with albinism, especially women and children, are still a big problem in many African countries. Therefore, for the child’s safety, we cannot show her face. Here at the home in Kasisi, the priority is her well-being and safety. We want to do everything we can to make sure that, in the loving arms of the sisters and aunties, she forgets the threat as soon as possible.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
