Steven came to Kasisi together with his twin sister, Dorcas. The twins grew up in another orphanage in Zambia. One day, it seemed like their dream of a family came true when they were adopted by a couple. Sadly, the couple did not accept Steven and Dorcas into their family and decided they didn’t want to care for the children after all. Such a change of events took its toll on the children. Today, however, they have found a loving home at Kasisi. They smile a lot and have settled in here. They have also made many new friends – we’re sure they’d love to count you among their good friends as well!
Steven is doing well. He struggled to read and spell words some time ago, but has made good progress. He is happy to help the aunties with household chores.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
