Veronica has just come to visit Kasisi for two weeks. She goes to boarding school and is in the 12th grade. Being away from her sisters Anna and Catherine is always difficult for her, but she knows that a good education is essential.
Veronica has always seemed extraordinarily mature and ambitious. When she’s not looking after the other children at Edmund’s House, she’s making plans for her future.
The girl is an avid reader, and not only of fiction. She really wants to become a doctor in the future, so she studies maths and biology diligently – one of the most difficult subjects at school. She is a very ambitious child!
Veronica is interested in Poland, so from time to time she asks us, “What is it like to study in Poland? Is life in Poland very different from life in Zambia?”
Who knows, maybe she will follow in James and Eva’s footsteps and become our next doctor? We wholeheartedly wish her that she fulfils her dreams, which she is not afraid to reach for, even if they are challenging! Take a look at Veronika’s profile. Become the little scientist’s adoptive parent or donate a set of books for the library, which will allow the girl to enter her dream university!
We hope that Christopher’s death, which was an unexpected tragic event for the whole Kasisi, will kick off a chain reaction of good. Because of this, we started the Christopher Sakala Fund. With this fund, we support children being treated on the oncological ward at the hospital in Lusaka.
