The last weeks of lessons before the Easter break are underway in Kasisi. The children are learning through group play; forming a circle and trying not to be eliminated from the game. Mayble, Anna and Tapiwa are learning about adding numbers and writing words. Sekai has turned into a little geographer, running her finger over maps and trying to remember as many flags of different countries as she can. In the afternoons she visits the classroom to check if she has correctly memorised the ones she has recently learned.
Adamson, on the other hand, is not thinking about learning right now, because the day before yesterday he received a letter straight from Poland! The boy is very proud of the delivery; he saw his printed picture and keeps repeating “this is Adamson!”. He immediately started drawing a picture for his adoptive family.
What’s about Kasisi’s new little residents?
Sylvia has already been moved from House of Hope to join the babies, and although she doesn’t know it yet, she will make her first friends there. So far her appetite is good and she is gradually putting on weight. Blind Grace, on the other hand, has a problem with eating. We have to think of different ways to encourage her.
We know that even the most beautiful, delicious plate of treats cannot replace a loving family for the girls. Today you can become a part of it! Take a look at the girls’ adoption profiles and become part of a family where every kindness donated is multiplied by the number of children’s smiles and turns this corner of the world into a real oasis.
Santa Claus never had it easy in Kasisi 😉 Over 230 children live here. Sister Mariola has already rushed to his aid and is quietly preparing presents!
Many of us still leave a free seat at the Christmas Eve table. Let one of our children sit at it this year (at a distance, but very much for real) and invite them to the table today!
