Elizabeth 10 y/o

She has a loving family whose house burned down. She has found refuge in Kasisi.

Martha 1 y/o

She came to Kasisi a few days after she was born. Her mother was unable to take care of her due to a severe mental illness. Unfortunately, her father could not be found.

Moses 17 y/o

He hasn’t had an easy life but he holds his head high.

Phillip 9 y/o

Philip was abandoned one night on a street in Lusaka. When he came under our care, he was in a very poor state—suffering from tuberculosis and severe malnutrition. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our doctors, we are now happy to say that Philip is a healthy and smiling child.

Rebecca 11 y/o

The girl’s mother brought her to Kasisi, claiming that her daughter was HIV-positive. After thorough testing, it was found that she’s healthy. Although she is not very active within her group of peers, in the company of those she trusts the most, she becomes lively and energetic.

Rhoda 10 y/o

Rhoda is currently at Kasisi along with her siblings. Although their parents are alive, serious health issues prevent them from taking care of their children. Rhoda has adapted perfectly to her new surroundings. She quickly made friends and found companions.

Ruth 13 y/o

She came to Kasisi after someone deliberately set her family’s house on fire, leaving them homeless. Though she may seem a bit shy at first glance, her natural ability to form relationships helped her make friends.
