Bowas 11 y/o

12
Birthday: 04.10.2013
With Kasisi since: 29.01.2016

When he came to Kasisi, he was just a little boy. Together with his twin sister Barbara, their three other siblings and with their mother, they knocked on our door in 2016. The mother had been abandoned by her husband, a drug addict and alcoholic. She had been caring for the children, but was left without any means to support them. She couldn’t afford to take care of her five children. Every Saturday, however, she visited them, played with them, and talked to them. The sisters at Kasisi, deeply impressed by the bond between the mother and her children, decided to help her get back on her feet so they could be together again. Now, her living and working situation is stable enough for her to take the children home. This is a great joy for Bowas. He continues to attend school, with his education supported by the “Adoptions from the Heart” program.

JANUARY 2023

He and his siblings went to his mum's for a holiday. We gave the woman money to build a house. It is almost ready. As soon as it is finished, the kids will go back to their loving mum.

APRIL 2022

Bowas is doing very well. He is healthy. He is in the second grade. His temperament and inclination towards strange ideas often get him into trouble. Fortunately, he always gets out of it unscathed.

JUNE 2021
He started school and is in the first grade. He was sickly, but in Kasisi his health improved. He is a little rascal.
MAY 2019
Bowas goes to an offsite preschool. He is very lively and does not shy away from strangers.
JULY 2018
The boy is doing well. His growth is on track and he goes to preschool.
JUNE 2017
The boy is a lot smaller than his twin sister and quite sickly. He doesn’t smile very much and seems sad.
JUNE 2016
Bowas is somewhat overshadowed by his twin sister Barbara. He clings to his mother whenever she visits Kasisi. When she leaves, the boy is always in tears.

Urgent help needed

Passport to the Future – Donate a School Starter Kit

A school kit includes notebooks, allowing children to study at home. It also includes a pair of shoes, which, if not for Kasisi, they would have to borrow from their siblings. And finally, a delicious, healthy sandwich in the backpack, which gives them the energy they need for their studies. Just like the sandwich their mother would prepare. You can pack one into their backpack today—from right here, from your own home.
