Dominic came to Kasisi with his sister, Opra. The children had most likely been abandoned by their mother. They spent their first days in Kasisi receiving medical care. With their cheerful attitudes and fun-loving, outgoing personalities they immediately won over Kasisi’s sisters and volunteers. Dominic is full of energy. All it takes for him to start dancing is a few beats of music. When he first got here, he loved greeting everyone with the words “How are you?” – this has become his signature phrase. He is a quick learner – he learned how to count to ten in English in just a few minutes. We expect him to become on of the boys’ leaders. Dominic is also very protective over his sister and always keeps a close eye on her.
Santa Claus never had it easy in Kasisi 😉 Over 230 children live here. Sister Mariola has already rushed to his aid and is quietly preparing presents!
Many of us still leave a free seat at the Christmas Eve table. Let one of our children sit at it this year (at a distance, but very much for real) and invite them to the table today!
