Edrin was brought to Kasisi by social services. Her mother suffers from mental health problems while her father doesn’t have the means to look after her as he already has a couple of older children.

MARCH 2024
Recently, Edrin has been receiving frequent calls from her cousin and her aunt, giving her a sense of closeness despite being separated by hundreds of kilometers. Despite the desire to spend some time with her relatives, the attempt to send Edrin on vacation faced obstacles. Social services did not give their approval, fearing poor conditions at her family’s place.
JULY 2023
Her uncle visited her. He wanted to take Edrin to his home for holidays, but the authorities did not agree. Social services assessed that the conditions there were not suitable for the child.
JANUARY 2023

She is doing well. She is in the fifth grade. She is cheerful and very confident. She quickly establishes contact with others. She learns well. However, if she has the choice of learning or playing, she always chooses the latter.

JULY 2022

She is in the fourth grade. Always smiling and very helpful. She dances together with other girls in the Kasisi schola. At school she enjoys science the most. In her free time she reads a lot and plays board games. She is friends with Stella.

JUNE 2021
She is in the third grade and is a very pleasant girl. She is a great hair braider (she creates unusual hairstyles for the girls) and loves dancing.
MAY 2019
She's started school this year. She gets good grades and gets on well with others. She's friendly and cheerful. She dances in the choir and enjoys performing at concerts.
JANUARY 2019
Edrin is loving and bright. In January she will start her education in preparatory class. She loves to sing and come up with new games. She has many friends. Her mother has only visited her once and was never seen again.
JUNE 2017
Edrin recently had a minor accident - she hit the bed and cut her eyebrow. Thankfully, she only had to get stitches and her wound has since healed. She is bright, loving and always smiling.
JUNE 2016
She is doing well. She lives in Edmund's House and goes to preschool.
MAY 2015
Edrin's mother visited her at Kasisi. She is very ill but was hoping to take her daughter home with her. Due to her poor health, this was not possible. Edrin goes to preschool and is in the Tigers Group. She lives at Edmund's House.
