Grace’s mother passed away, and her father was unknown. Her grandmother and aunt brought her to our doorstep from a distant, unknown part of Zambia. Their journey to Kasisi was fraught with difficulties. They faced impassable roads, obstacles, and challenges. But their determination and resolve guided them along this arduous path, as each step was like a prayer for a better tomorrow for the then one-year-old girl. When Grace arrived at Kasisi, it was clear that her future was uncertain. Her eye problems were severe and required immediate attention. But in her new Home she found not only shelter but also hope. The consistent medical treatment and care she receives daily have given Grace a chance to fight. Thanks to this, she still retains the ability to see.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
