Joyce came to Kasisi with her four siblings. Her father, an alcoholic and drug addict, abandoned the family. Their mother was left without any means to survive and was not able to care for five children on her own. She visits her children every Saturday, however, and makes sure to talk and play with them as much as possible during her visits. The children are very close. At Kasisi, they finally have a chance to develop.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
