Natasha came to Kasisi with her brother Gabriel. Their story is full of difficult experiences. Until recently, they lived in a happy, loving family, having everything children need for proper development. The tragic death of their mother in 2021 turned their world upside down. Their father, overwhelmed with grief and struggling with financial problems, had to constantly search for work, leaving him unable to provide adequate care for his children. The lack of proper care and basic necessities led to their neglect. They were lost, hungry, and deprived of their basic needs. In their new home at Kasisi, they were welcomed with open arms. For the first time in a long while, Natasha and Gabriel felt safe and cared for. In 2024, their father’s situation stabilized enough for him to bring his children back home. They continue to receive support through the “Adoptions from the Heart” program.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
