Rebecca’s journey with Kasisi began on Christmas Eve in 2012. Previously, she had been living with a foster family who, unfortunately, decided to cancel the adoption the day before Christmas. This difficult experience brought Rebecca to us, where she found shelter and care. In 2019, Rebecca was adopted again by another family. For a while, it seemed like her life was starting to stabilize, but in 2021, due to difficulties and misunderstandings, she ran away from her adoptive family and returned to Kasisi. Despite these challenges, Rebecca remains incredibly cheerful and full of life. She has many friends and loves spending time with them. She has become very responsible, and her approach to learning is truly admirable. She diligently completes her school duties, and learning and books have become a passion to which she dedicates a lot of time. She dreams of becoming a doctor in the future.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
