Meet Richard, who amazes us with his positive energy and trust in people in spite of his upbringing.
His parents did not have the emotional maturity required to raise a child and, as a result, put him through a lot of abuse. He arrived at Kasisi in a terrible condition. We will spare you the details – for the sake of Richard, we’d like to put these memories in the past. Now that he’s under our care, for the first time, he can experience what a warm and loving home feels like.
Richard is doing well. He goes to a mission school to kindergarten. He is developing properly and growing incredibly fast. He is very popular with the other children.
The metal cots and worn-out mattresses have lulled generations of Kasisi kids to sleep, but are now in desperate need of replacement.
Our dream is to make the babies’ bedrooms look like a truly homely, safe environment that is associated with warmth. Will you help us make this dream a reality?
