Those who brought Richard into the world never matured enough to be responsible parents. Unfortunately, their lack of care caused Richard immense suffering. His situation became so dire that he ended up in the hospital in critical condition. After prolonged and intensive medical care, he was transferred directly to us, to our home at Kasisi. Fortunately, Richard’s story has a happy ending, largely thanks to the doctor who saved his life. This exceptional person not only provided Richard with the necessary medical care but also formed a deep bond with him, which continues to this day. The doctor regularly visits Richard at Kasisi, showing the boy that true goodness can be found in the world. We choose not to describe the exact details of what happened to Richard, as we should all, especially Richard himself, strive to forget those traumatic experiences. Currently, the boy is with us, surrounded by warmth, care, and love.
